There are so many things to teach my children. Sometimes the facts get mixed up.
A trip to visit Grandma Shirley in Kentucky included a drive to Graceland in Tennessee. Being the music lovers that we are, Elvis is a topic of conversation from time to time. The trip to Graceland increased that 100 fold. Especially for our little rocker, En. She loves to dance and sing. “Let Me Be Your Teddy Bear” is one of her favorites, along with “Jailhouse Rock”.
After Saturday evening church attendance, we were singing other songs, and then talking about God and Jesus. The following conversation took place:
Mom: En, who died on the cross?
En: Elvis
Mom: hmmmm, I think you are confusing Jesus and Elvis. Jesus died on the cross, not Elvis.
En (exasperated): Well, they were BOTH great men!!!
